Model: ECHO-SOIL

Soil Multi-Parameter Sensor

Soil sensors for moisture, temperature, EC, pH and NPK, in resistive and capacitive options for agriculture and research.

SpaceEcho soil sensors measure soil conditions in the field for agriculture and research. They connect to the ECHO-Gateway v4 and report to EchoCloud. Three options cover different needs, from full soil nutrient readings to research-grade moisture records.

Features

Five soil readings in one sensor
The resistive sensor measures temperature, moisture, EC, pH and NPK.
Options for farms and research
Resistive and capacitive sensors for agriculture, and a capacitive sensor for research.
Built for the ground
The resistive sensor is IP68 and epoxy potted, and can be inserted or buried.
Several depths
Fit sensors at different levels to follow the soil profile.
Made in Germany
Both capacitive options are made in Germany.

Multi-level soil monitoring

A multi-level probe holds sensors at several depths in one place, so one station follows conditions through the soil profile. SpaceEcho makes the probe, and the depths can be customized.

Connecting to a station

RS-485 sensors connect directly. The EchoHub-485 adds more sensor ports, so one station can read several depths. The EchoHub Combine Unit connects sensors with analogue or SDI-12 output, by model.

Applications

Irrigation planning
Follow soil moisture in the root zone.
Soil nutrients
Follow EC, pH and NPK in farm soil.
Agricultural research
Keep continuous soil moisture and temperature records.

Frequently asked questions

What does the soil sensor measure?

The resistive sensor measures temperature, moisture, EC, pH and NPK. The capacitive sensors measure soil moisture and temperature.

Which option do I need?

Use the resistive sensor for full soil readings on a farm. Use a capacitive sensor for moisture, with the research option for the highest accuracy.

Can sensors be installed at several depths?

Yes. SpaceEcho makes a multi-level probe, for example with sensors at 10, 60 and 120 cm, and the depths can be customized.

Can the sensor be buried?

Yes. The resistive sensor is IP68 and can be inserted into the soil or buried.

How does it connect to a station?

RS-485 sensors connect directly. The EchoHub Combine Unit connects sensors with analogue or SDI-12 output.

How do I see the data?

The sensor connects to the ECHO-Gateway, which sends readings to EchoCloud.
